Shakespeare’s STEAM Rescue!

The new Blue Cluster STEAM Fine Arts course is wrapping up their first major Design Cycle/Open Ended Problem Solving Project, where they had to design a device that would help them save a Shakespeare figurine from the bottom of the South Building stairwell.

On October 6th, the Red, Orange, and Yellow Cluster held their first-ever Lower Division assembly, where they learned about Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and the Water Walker Josephine Mandamin.

During a year-long elective class, Blue Cluster students both learned about the Holocaust and shared the stories of survivors through the creation of a documentary.

Fun with Phonological Awareness

In Room 202, Red Cluster students are hard at work practicing their phonological awareness with fun activities, such as jumping on colored dots to help them conceptualize how words can be segmented and sounded out.

The Olympics Come To Gaynor

The Green Cluster students became Olympic athletes for a day to kick off their history unit on Ancient Greece!

Creating the Parenting Toolkit Series

Implementing Charters in the Early Childhood and Lower Divisions

This past spring semester, the Pink through Yellow Clusters worked on Social Emotional Learning lessons. Each class created a classroom Charter that represented the community, emotions, and responsibilities that students and teachers in that class wanted to establish together. Charters are one of the anchor tools designed for use in RULER, a social-emotional program that helps students learn how to cope with their feelings, make decisions, and get along with others.
